Joining Together Virtually For A Hunger-Free Christmas
Our 12 Days of Giving is just the beginning! We’re kicking off the Mayor’s annual Christmas food drive with a cheque for $40,000.00 from the Calgary Motor Dealer Charitable Foundation and we’d like to invite you to join us in giving to this worthy cause.
The holiday season will certainly look different this year, but that isn’t stopping businesses, students, and communities from joining together for a hunger-free Christmas. The Mayor’s Annual Christmas Food Drive is typically a month-long campaign of food drives and fundraising activities. But we won’t let 2020 get in the way of the fun and the spirit of the holidays!
Join us virtually for 12 Days of Giving, focusing on some of our most needed food items. Each day from November 25 to December 9, a different Mayor’s Food Drive community partner will highlight one of these wish list items to the tune of The 12 Days of Christmason social media. We’ll be sharing the fun on our own social channels, so be sure to follow us to see everyone’s interpretation!
Our many partners and supporters in the community will be organizing safe ways to collect food and funds up until January 8, 2021.

Host A Fundraiser
Over the past 32 years, countless community groups, businesses, schools, and City of Calgary departments have hosted food drives to support the Calgary Food Bank’s busiest season. This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has made traditional food drives and fundraisers a challenge – but now more than ever, vulnerable Calgarians need our help. Many of the Mayor’s Annual Christmas Food Drive partners have gotten creative, finding safe ways to collect food donations in their offices or hosting virtual fundraisers.
